Volunteering with Rooted in Play
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Rooted in Play.
Rooted in Play exists to strengthen the mental health of children and communities by protecting and expanding every child’s right to play. Our Popup Adventure Playgrounds and Every Child Plays camps are intentionally inclusive, child-led environments. Children direct their own play. Adults observe, support safety, and intervene thoughtfully when necessary.
Volunteering with us means stepping into that philosophy.
Before you apply, please know:
• Our programs are active, outdoors, and often messy.
• We serve children of all abilities, including children with high support needs.
• We prioritize dignity, autonomy, and belonging for every child.
• Volunteers are expected to follow our Playwork-informed approach.
